The Winter Ways

I don’t know about you, but I am just not a fan of winter. I love the cool temps of fall, but not the bite of winter. My husband and I decided we would try something new, and we sprouted our snowbird wings and headed south for the winter. This being our first time out, I have to admit, I do not miss the snow or the cold and I am enjoying the weather we have been experiencing here in Florida. That would be the reason for my long absence here on the blog. I was just flat busy and worn out with moving and setting up the winter home, and I didn’t take the time to share any of the experience here. So I’ve decided I’ll be sharing some of the process of setting up house that I documented as we were going through it.

It’s been a long haul and we’ve had our trusty little Frenchie, Clementine by our sides the whole way. Who ever knew it could be so intimidating to choose furniture, decor and the whole nine yards? Not to mention coming into a kitchen without as much as a plate or skillet and no food. We shopped for bargains and did some fun DIY projects along the way as well. The next big thing on our horizon is putting up some shiplap throughout the house. I will be sure to share the process when the time comes.

So, I hope I didn’t leave you hanging for too long, and I will get back to planning my weekly posts. Next up I will be posting a tutorial on making the hand stamped books I posted above. Thanks for hanging on while I get things together, ya’ll are the best!
