The Rugged Man’s Gift Guide

One of my favorite things about Christmas is shopping for my husband! I always love to find the fun things he has mentioned to me over the prior couple of months but is far too frugal to buy for himself. This year I decided to ask him to give me a list of fun things for the “Rugged Man”. I’ve seen lots of “Gift Guides for Him” but I wanted to take it one step further, my man likes guns and knives and anything he can do outdoors, he has a beard and wears denim and work boots, I wanted to design a gift guide for guys like him. Without further ado may I present: The Rugged Man’s Gift Guide.

1. Apple Watch: My husband has an Apple watch and he absolutely loves it. He is in the truck and on job sites a lot, so he likes that he can answer calls without having to take his phone out, and he can quickly voice reply to text messages. It is a total go to for him, and he finds it is easy to use and he doesn’t leave home without it. This is a splurge item but would make a fabulous gift for even the tech-impaired guy on your list.
2. Cabela’s Intensity HD 8×42 Binoculars: One of the rugged mans favorite places to shop is Cabela’s (or any sporting goods store). He got a set of these binoculars for his birthday and he loves them. He doesn’t do a lot of hunting, but we do live in a rural area, he likes to use these in the summer for looking for coyote and deer crossing the fields. They also come in handy for finding a lost dog on a late night. This is another splurge item but would be fabulous for the man who loves hunting.
3. UDI Nano Drone: There are a lot of drones to choose from ranging from $25-100 price point. My husband got his last year from Rural King and he has had a lot of fun with it. You can stream video to your phone through an app. These drones are light weight and easy to learn how to fly. My husbands favorite, the Venom Pro GPS Streaming 2.4GHZ 4.5CH RC HD Camera Drone from Hobby Tron. You can also find similar drones on Amazon.
4. Levi Sherpa Trucker jacket: this is an easy to wear jacket that’s sure to keep your man warm when he’s running around outside. The denim jacket has a cozy Sherpa lining and is light weight and easy to move in. My mans favorite color, “Go Set” a dark wash denim. I have seen them at Kohls and on-line.
5. Carhart Legacy Standard Work Pack: This is a durable backpack made just for the rugged man. It comes in Carhart Brown, Gray, and Black. This heavy-duty water-repellent bag is perfect for the guy on the go. He can carry his laptop, chargers, schedules and keep everything safe and sound. There is a main compartment, two front zip pockets, and two side pockets. There is a place for everything, even his water bottle. This is at the top of my husbands Christmas list.
6. Bose Wireless Headphones: This is a fan favorite! My man loves his music and these Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones (Android/iOS) are perfect for him. 7. Fossil Derrick Front Pocket Bifold Wallet: Carson likes a small wallet that he can carry in his front pocket, he doesn’t want a big wallet getting in his way and he is quite rough on a wallet because he’s outside so much. His favorite is a bifold wallet with a bill pouch. It holds the necessities, his licenses, credit/debit cards and his money. He prefer leather because it holds up the best to his rugged lifestyle.

Stocking Stuffers
Doesn’t everyone love to dig into a stocking full of yummy and fun surprises? My husband is no different and here are some of his favorite things to get in his stocking every year.
1. Beef Jerky (Teriyaki is a go to)
2. Bombas Socks (any kind will do)
3. Old Spice Gift Box (Shampoo, body wash and deodorant in Figi)
4. Cologne (Polo Red & Paco Rabanne 1 Million are his go to favorites)
5. Skin Care (Elemis Travel Treasures for Him Collection is my guys fave)
6. Beard Care (The Beard Club “Advanced Kit” is a favorite)
7. Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm (gotta keep those lips from chapping)
