    Halloween CharBOOterie Board

Our grandson was over for a visit around Halloween last year and I decided we would make this easy and fun Halloween themed CharBOOterie board! So Easy and so fun! Here’s what you need: It’s time to get creative! Begin by preheating oven to 375 F. Open crescent rolls and divide, cut the triangles into strips. Wrap the strips around the hot dogs in a gapped pattern to resemble a mummy. Place on baking sheet and bake per instructions on rolls package, 9-12 minutes. Once this is done, put your chili and cheese sauces into small dishes and heat in microwave. Place on serving board lined with holiday themed parchment…

    Fall Movie Fun

Hey! What are you doing? We’ve been on a camping adventure this week and it has been so cold, so we’ve been inside in the evenings watching movies! As with all our camping trips, we went to WalMart (not sponsored) to get groceries and I raided the $5 movie bin and found some of our favorites! This inspired me to put together a countdown list leading up to Halloween! My list is for the last 10 days of October and I made one for adults and one that is kid friendly, and if you are anything like me, you can mix and match or choose from both lists because, lets…

    VALENTINE’S DAY CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES

Chocolate Covered Strawberries Ingredients: Strawberries Chocolate candy melts in color of choice Sprinkles Clean Strawberries and dry well.  Leave the stem on for décor/color.  Melt chocolate per directions.  I prefer to use 2 or 3 different colors to mix things up.  Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet.  Dip berries and place on sheet.  If using sprinkles, add while chocolate is wet.  If not, allow to begin setting up.  You can also use chocolate melted in a different color to add candy striping.  You put the melted alternate color into a heavy bag (like a Ziploc freezer bag) snip end off and squeeze out a thin line of chocolate. It…

    VALENTINE LOVE BUG COOKIES

I don’t do a lot of elaborate decor or celebrating for Valentine’s Day. When my kids were home, I made most of the celebrations about them, candies and cookies, little toys and stuffed teddies. Hubby and I have just never made a huge deal of it. Since we’ve been spending our winters in Florida, we don’t see our kids or grandkids during the “love” month, so I haven’t made a habit of celebrating. This year, I decided to make some fun little treats for the sons of some of our friends we’ve made here, and I have to say, they loved these creative treats. I will be sharing the rest…
