Holiday Table Decor
The holiday season is such a wonderful time of the year. Decorating all the places in your home is a great way to celebrate and enjoy everything the season has to offer. Today I’m sharing with you my Christmas tablescape.
Red and Green are traditional Christmas colors. My inspiration for this years decor theme is green. My aim this year is a neutral color palette that wasn’t all white, bringing in woodsy elements.
The placement of the vintage dough bowl brings warmth to the space, setting atop a green, black, and white plaid runner provides the foundation of the wooded element. In the dough bowl, I began with 3 woodland style evergreen trees that are inside a tin base. I sat these in the center and both ends of the bowl. Since the bottom of the bowl is rounded, the pots wouldn’t stand up so I used painters paper (found at local hardware store) that wadded into loose balls and placed all around the pots to provide stability. To provide a snowy cover, I used a skein of large diameter, acrylic yarn that I layered to create dimension and the effect of snow. I added a few woodland elements, the faux deer antlers and pine cones. I also added the wooden embroidery hoop spheres & twinkle lights to fill empty spaces and bring more wood tones and warmth to the scene.
To finish off this simple and beautiful tablescape, I chose a solid, light green placemat and layered my chippy white chargers with a charcoal gray plate with a beautiful snowflake plate on top. The napkins match the runner to pull the darker green to the sides and I chose a natural element napkin ring featuring evergreen sprigs with small pine cones.
I hope my Christmas table decor will inspire you to make a beautiful arrangement for your dining space. ‘Tis the season, enjoy creating your holiday decor.
