Adulting At Disney On A Dime
Who thinks Disney is one of the greatest and happiest places to be? I sure do! I never thought I would have any desire to go to any Disney attraction without my children or grandchildren, but, I was mistaken! My hubby and I absolutely enjoy heading over to the Disney attractions all by ourselves! Why you ask? Because there’s really a lot to do, and you aren’t fighting with the kids, or trying to herd them all together. No lines for rides, because rides aren’t the main thing you are there for, it’s all about taking in the atmosphere.
Today, I want with you about what I consider to be one of Disney’s best overlooked spots to visit, Disney Springs. Ya’ll….it’s really just a huge outdoor mall, with great shopping like Sugar Boo & Co, Anthropologie, Harley Davidson, Oakley, Alex & Ani, Lucky Brand, Lily Pulitzer, and the list goes on and on.
The atmosphere is just stunning, with beautiful stores, gardens, fountains and lots of great places to eat! We enjoy heading over for a great date night, it is so much fun! One of our favorite places to eat is The Rain Forest Cafe, it is always fun, with or without the kids. We’ve also dined at House of Blues which was delicious, and next time I want to eat at the seafood restaurant located inside a docked steamboat, Paddlefish. It is award winning, given 2018 Dining Awards “Readers Choice” for best seafood restaurants. And we can’t forget to mention Starbucks and Hard Rock Cafe, just to name a few of our favorites.
We admittedly enjoy the Lego store, it is amazing what they can build with those little things. So much fun! There is a huge Loch Ness Monster in one of the big ponds, it’s very neat to see. There are also lots of fun activities to do as well, you can take a ride in the floating car boats at The Boathouse, go bowling, see a movie, participate in the NBA experience and see a Cirque du Soleil show! There are lots of Disney souvenir shops and a magnificent candy store. Are you ready for the best part? Parking and admission are FREE! Yes, free! You can go all day and enjoy the sights and sounds without spending a dime, of course dining, activities and shopping are regular Disney prices.
If you are ever in the Orlando area and want to have a fun day or night out, just head on over to Disney Springs, they’ve got you covered.
