“CHEATERS” LASAGNA
Homemade Lasagna never disappoints. This is definitely a family favorite, and so easy that you’ll be glad you gave this one a try. Ooey, gooey cheesy goodness with rich tomato sauce mixed with hamburger and Italian sausage. Worth every one of the 30 minutes it takes to put this baby together. Let’s go!
“CHEATERS” LASAGNA
1 pound hamburger
1 pound Italian sausage
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 contianer Ricotta cheese
1 bag shredded mozzarella cheese
1 container shredded parmesan cheese
1 box lasagna noodles (cook 9 to al dente)
1 can mushrooms, drained
2 eggs
Italian seasoning
Fry both meats together until no longer pink. Drain grease if needed and add spaghetti sauce and mushrooms, stir well. In a bowl, add ricotta cheese, 2 eggs, and Italian seasoning (to taste); mix well and set aside. Drain noodles.
In a 9×13 baking dish, put a thin layer of meat on the bottom of the dish, add a light layer of mozzarella cheese followed by 3 lasagna noodles laying side by side. Add another layer of meat sauce followed by a layer of ricotta cheese then mozzarella cheese. Another layer of noodles, meat sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan.
Place in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Bake until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. Once finished, remove from oven and allow to set for 15 minutes. Prepare your garlic bread and salad during this resting period. Cut lasagna and serve.
I promise it does not get any easier. I’ve made this dish so many times that I think I can make it with my eyes closed. So yummy, enjoy!
