GRANNY’S HAMBURGER, POTATO & NOODLE SKILLET
This was one of my favorite dishes that my Granny used to make. Absolute soul food, southern goodness, comfort in a bowl. She always made this with her homemade noodles, which aren’t hard to make, but I don’t have the patience to make and store them. So I use store bought and they still taste delicious! I hope you’ll make this dish and you’ll let me know how your family likes it.
You start with a pound of ground beef fried. When all the pink is gone, drain the grease, add 2 cups of water and 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, stir well to mix and add a little bouillon. Bring to a boil and add 6-8 potatoes sliced and a bag of egg noodles. Stir, decrease heat to med and allow to simmer. Stirring often until noodles and potatoes are soft. You may have to add more water if the pan begins to go dry.
That’s it friends, yummy and tasty! Goes well with buttered bread or garlic toast. Green beans and corn go along well too. Enjoy!
