Wait, it’s Thursday

You guys! I totally did not post on Monday! This week has been a total buzz kill, so much work (like actual work not fun project work) has been happening, you know paying the bills, doing payroll and receivables, paying taxes, preparing taxes for filing. All those fun things! Yuck!

We did get some faux shiplap in over the weekend! It is totally beautiful and I’m loving every inch of the spaces we’ve done! Here’s a peek!!

when I get a hot minute I’m going to jump on here and write a blog post on faux shiplap! You guys, this stuff is so easy, and I’m serious about that! You can get a whole wall installed and ready to paint in just a couple hours. It’s amazing! We have really enjoyed putting our own mark on this house. It’s been a lot of fun!

I got some baking done yesterday as well! If you follow me on Instagram @paisley_pear then you know I’m part of a Recipe Swap that posts every Saturday. This weeks theme is CAKE! I baked a Hummingbird Cake that was my grandma Marian’s recipe and I have to admit, it’s delicious! Have you ever had it? If not, you will want to get your hands on my recipe and whip this baby up. Quick, easy and OMG delicious! It’s the first time I’ve ever made it and I am so happy with it, it may be my favorite cake ever. Mmmm! I also made a Shepherds Pie for the next weeks Swap which is Irish or St. Paddy’s Day foods. That was a good one too, my hubby had 2 servings, happy boy.

I’m going to share a few more pix of our week since I’m a late poster! I’ll work on that! We have company coming in this weekend and I’m thrilled about that as well!!!
