APPLE ORCHARD DAY DATE WITH HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE
Can you believe how quickly these seasons are fleeting? Every Autumn my husband and I like to visit the local apple orchard and farmers market to get some delicious apples and beautiful pumpkins. Then you know what happens, right? Applesauce, apple butter, and apple pie filling! I love the kitchen aroma when I’m cooking apples! I thought I would share our day with you.
We visit Stuckey Farm Apple Orchard which is a local, family owned farm, you can visit their website HERE. We’ve been visiting for over 20 years, and our kids grew up making annual trips with us to Stuckey’s.
I think that no matter how old I get, I’ll always feel like a kid when I’m at the apple orchard. We are apparently a little late in the season, the trees were nearly picked clean, but don’t you worry, they had me covered inside with pre-picked and bagged apples!
Visiting the orchard also brings out the kid in my sweet husband. I think a day date together brings out the romance too!
love
We enjoy all the things found at the orchard, including the pears and pumpkins, & homemade carmels!
After we left the orchard, we stopped at Wilson’s Farm Market, you can find their website HERE. They always have a fabulous array of beautiful and affordable pumpkins, and they also have an amazing bakery & deli! I had to pick up some of their delicious cinnamon bread while we were visiting, it makes the BEST french toast! I think day dates may be a new thing for us, we had so much fun!
I hope you enjoyed our little day date! It was a beautiful day!
Now, how about a little recipe from our day? Apple Butter or Apple Sauce? I think I’ll share my crockpot applesauce with y’all!
