MEDICINE BALL TEA DUPE

Feeling under the weather? I have a dupe for you that will help ease the throat pain and some of the stuffiness you might be suffering from.

A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down.

What is a medicine ball tea? Are you a Starbucks fan? I love visiting their stores. I’m not a coffee drinker but I have several drinks on my go to list that I love! A couple of years ago I had a bad head cold and someone suggested a Medicine ball from Starbys. Oh my word! It changed my whole day. There are no medicinal properties, but lots of good stuff that helps to ease the suffering. So it’s an herbal tea with lemonade and honey, and it’s delicious.

Before I give you the recipe and ingredients lets talk a minute about honey. You know that sweet nectar has many benefits and one of those is to ease the pain of a sore throat. When I have a sore throat, I like to eat a spoonful of honey all by itself. The medicine ball calls for honey, used to sweeten the tea, but if you want to keep from killing any of the “good stuff” that’s in the honey, you must wait until it stops steaming and reaches a temp below 81 degrees. Otherwise, you’re just getting the sweetness from it.
