VALENTINE CRACKER CANDY
Today, I’m sharing this delicious cracker candy that I made. This stuff is truly delicious, and it is very addictive, my husband gave the go ahead on this candy to “Please, make it again.” I find that may be dangerous, but the kids really do love it, its a special treat for certain.
V-Day Cracker Candy
Ingredients:
1 box Saltines
1 bag White chocolate chips
2 sticks butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 bag pink chocolate candy melts
Holiday sprinkles
Pre-heat oven to 325. Line a baking sheet with foil, spray with cooking spray, and place up to 50 crackers on the pan (some pans may hold less than 50 crackers). Set aside.
In a small saucepan, melt 2 sticks butter; add 1 cup light brown sugar mix well and stir continually allowing to boil for 2 minutes. You should have a lovely, thickened, bubbly carmel. Pour this over the top of the saltines, use a spatula to spread the carmel over the crackers. Place in oven and bake for 7 minutes. While it is baking, melt your pink candy melts according to package directions (I do this in the microwave).
Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the white chocolate chips all over the crackers and carmel. Place in oven for minute to soften the chips. Remove and use spatula to spread white chocolate over the carmel and crackers. Now mix you pink candy into the white by pouring over the white in a decorative manner. You can use a butter knife or toothpick to create the design you choose. While chocolates are still soft, add sprinkles. Place in fridge to chill. After 30 minutes to an hour you can remove from fridge and break the crack apart. Store in an airtight container.
I think this will be a winner for sure, easy to make and so good. Making the caramel is easy, so don’t be afraid to give this a try. And look how pretty, it goes a long way in a treat basket.
Enjoy this Valentine’s Day treat, be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments.
