TAMMY KATE’S WW PANTRY ESSENTIALS

I get asked often how I keep my meals exciting and my snacks nutritious and still manage to remain within my points allotment. Here’s the answer, I keep lots of “good” stuff on hand. Now, part of the diet culture is to mark some foods good and some bad, that’s not what I’m doing here. By good, I mean foods that are within my point value range and easy to obtain or repair. So let’s have a look at some items I strive to keep stocked in my pantry and fridge!

There are several wraps out there that are low in points, but Cut Da Carb is one of my very faves! These are long, rectangle flatbreads that are scored so you can easily choose more or less if needed, they are 1 point per sheet. They must be ordered on line and refrigerated, they freeze well.

Turkey Pepperoni – if you love “pizza” stuff like me, this is a great alternative to regular pepperoni. They taste great and brown nice and crispy when baked. 12 slices for 1 point, 20 for 2 points.

Canadian Bacon – this low fat meat is a great option for breakfast and on pizza. 3 slices for 1 point, thats a bargain.

If you spend any amount of time on WW you know that Velveeta cheese slices are 1 point, as opposed to Kraft cheese slices which are 2. WW math is a mess. Likewise, if you can find it, Velveeta shreds are lower in points as well. However, the block velveeta does not translate quite as nicely. Most fat free shredded cheeses are 0 points for 1/4 – 1/2 cup. A lot of folks like to rinse it with water so it melts better, I give mine a little spritz of EVOO Pam and it melts great.

Canned chicken breast. This is one of our go to grabs at Costco. All white chicken meat is 0 points and canned chicken is easy and tasty. I use one can, drained, to make a quick and easy chicken salad, that hubby and I split. Also, our very picky Frenchies both come running when they smell this chicken, they love it too.

PAM EVOO spritz – 5 sprays is 0 points, and if you toggle the servings in the WW app, it’s always 0 points. I use this stuff with everything that I cook. I prep pans with it, spray on top of foods when baking and air frying to assist with melting and to add additional crisp. It’s like magic.

Red Hot Buffalo is 0 points, this is perfect for dipping nuggets, or added to a chicken sandwich. Hubby loves a spicy chicken sandwich with this sauce. You can also make Buffalo chicken dip with some light cream cheese and eat with celery for a lower point treat!

Sara Lee Delightul 45 – These breads (white, wheat, and multi-grain) all come in at 1 point for 1 slice and 2 points for 2. They are perfect for toasting, sandwich making, and grilling.

Sugar Free jell-o – you can make so many things with a tablespoon or such of this stuff. Add it to plain greek yogurt for the base of a yogurt bowl, or add it to protein shake and freeze then whip up in a Ninja Creami for an ice cream treat.

Popcorn – By far my favorite zero calorie snack! I air pop in the microwave with no oil, then put zero calorie butter spray on for taste. YUM!

Sugar Free Cinnamon Roll Coffee Mate – this is my go to that I add to my chai tea latte’s! My morning fave for sure! 2 Tb – 1 point, 1 Tb – 0 points.

Duke’s light mayo with olive oil – yum. That’s the word that sums up this mayo. 1 Tbsp – 1 point.

G Hughes Sugar Free Dipping Sauce’s – i love them all. They are so good, but not all the same point value so be sure to check your labels. The honey mustard is great for dipping nuggets or on a sandwich and the Sweet Chili is delicious on a breakfast ham, cheese and egg muffin sandwich. Be sure to experiment!

Heinz No Sugar Added Ketchup. It doesn’t disappoint, 0 points.

Kodiak Cakes – Oh these little beauties have made my life so sweet! I love pancakes and waffles and you can easily switch out your pancake mix to this high protein alternative. 1/2 c dry mix for 4 points (this will make 2 nice size pancakes) then top with some sugar free syrup and light butter, perfect!

Chicken Breast. Chicken in the morning, chicken in the evening, chicken in the afternoon! All white meat is 0 points and comes in clutch! I have several recipes you can find on my blog and Instagram.

Amylu chicken breakfast sausage – these are the best breakfast sausages I’ve found to replace high point pork sausage. 3 links are 3 points, as opposed to 3 Bob Evans pork breakfast sausages for 7 points. You do you, Boo, but this is how you make WW work!

Fat free Cottage Cheese – 0 points! I like to add it to meals as a side, blend it and use as dip or thickener, or use in place of some cheeses (like in lasagna). A lot of people also count the 1% cottage cheese as zero points, but the counter will say it is points. Check your labels.

Mission Carb Balance Flour Tortilla – 1 point each, check the size before you buy, the burrito size is more points. Make wraps, tacos, and quesadilla’s with these yummy wraps.

Mission Yellow Corn Tortilla – 4 pieces (they are small) for 1 point. Perfect for street tacos or to fry crisp and add to a homemade crunch wrap.

Fat Free Refried Beans- 0 points again! These go a long way and bulk up burritos, tacos or any Mexican dish.

Light Sour Cream – 3 Tbsp – 2 points

Shake n Bake- 1/8 pkt for 1 point. You can usually get one chicken sandwich or 5 nuggets out of this amount of coating. so good!

Unsweetened Apple Sauce is a great 0 point snack, or good to add to muffins for cakes to reduce calories and add natural sweetness.

Ray’s no sugar added BBQ sauce – I don’t think this 0 point goodness needs an explanation.

Skinny Girl Poppyseed dressing – One of my favorites and 2 Tbsp is 0 points. Hint – get some condiment cups from Amazon and take to restaurants with you to ease the dressing decision for your salad!

Cape Cod Original chips – yum, that is all. 18 chips for 4 points.

Grapes – A perfectly sweet 0 point snack. Eat fresh or frozen.

Popcorn seasoning spray – 0 points and the perfect addition to your air popped popcorn for a 0 point snack.

Oregon Chai Sugar Free Latte – this is my morning go to! 1/2 cup concentrate with 1/2 cup water and some creamer is so yummy! 0 points!

Fage 0% milkfat greek yogurt – 0 points. So many uses! Dips, sauces, sour cream replacement. You name it!

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (ICBINB) Spray – 0 points, all amounts. I also use their light butter spread, it’s good and 1 Tbsp is 2 points.

Good Thins – 28 crackers for 2 points. These are great with chicken or egg salad. Crunchy and salty and delicious. Also good for a snack as well in place of a chip.

Laughing Cow Light Wedges – 1 wedge is 1 point! This stuff is good. One of the best things I’ve made with it is light Alfredo sauce. It’s so good! Also works on a sandwich or as a dip with veggies or crackers.

Eggs – I didn’t have picture of all things, but eggs are 0 points and can be made so many ways to enjoy! Fry, scramble, boil, bake, bites! It’s endless! Use this superfood to your advantage.

That wraps up this fairly long blog. I hope you find it useful and you will use some of my fave WW items to make your journey more delicious and simple!
