Lemon Butter Shrimp & Pasta
Hey y’all! Today I’m sharing a delicious recipe my hubby and I like to prepare, it’s fairly quick and easy and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients and, did I mention it’s delicious! The cast of characters for today’s dish: Pasta of choice, Shrimp, lemon, butter, garlic, EVOO, heavy cream, salt & pepper, and Italian dressing seasoning (I prefer to use my own homemade version, but any will work). You’ll want to start by washing those kits, that’s so important ☺️ I like to start this dish by getting my oven preheating to 350 and getting that pasta into some water on the stove. You’ll want to prepare the pasta…

Barn Door Tutorial
Hello friends! I’ve had a lot of requests regarding how we made our barn door, so here’s all the details I can muster up on it. We are sort of like the renegade cowboys of the woodworking world. We don’t like to clamp and glue or be patient for that matter. We prefer to just make it happen and enjoy the rustic look we get when we build a piece. I started the barn door with a sketch of what I wanted it to look like. After looking at countless photos of barn doors, I decided on the British inspired look, and I love it. The door is made with…

The Winter Ways
I don’t know about you, but I am just not a fan of winter. I love the cool temps of fall, but not the bite of winter. My husband and I decided we would try something new, and we sprouted our snowbird wings and headed south for the winter. This being our first time out, I have to admit, I do not miss the snow or the cold and I am enjoying the weather we have been experiencing here in Florida. That would be the reason for my long absence here on the blog. I was just flat busy and worn out with moving and setting up the winter home,…

The Rugged Man’s Gift Guide
One of my favorite things about Christmas is shopping for my husband! I always love to find the fun things he has mentioned to me over the prior couple of months but is far too frugal to buy for himself. This year I decided to ask him to give me a list of fun things for the “Rugged Man”. I’ve seen lots of “Gift Guides for Him” but I wanted to take it one step further, my man likes guns and knives and anything he can do outdoors, he has a beard and wears denim and work boots, I wanted to design a gift guide for guys like him. Without…

Homemade Sea Salt Butter
I have always been a fan of making things homemade. As my children were growing up, I wanted to find projects they could help me with in the kitchen and making our own butter was a great project! It’s fairly quick, easy and oh so tasty! Back then, we used a mason jar and a marble to churn the butter. Today, I make my homemade butter with my grandkids. We have a nifty little Kilner churn that they love to crank, crank, crank! It’s very easy for little hands to do the work. When I’m not working with the grand-littles, I use my Kitchenaid mixer with the whisk attachment, talk…
